2

Information review

Relevant medical evidence, photographs, measurements, floor plans and previous reports are reviewed.

3

Virtual assessment

A secure video or telephone assessment is completed where remote assessment is clinically appropriate.

4

Report and recommendations

A clear report is issued with functional analysis, risks, options and proportionate recommendations.

Important information

Remote assessment boundaries

Can every assessment be completed remotely?

No. Remote assessment is used only where it is clinically appropriate and sufficient information can be obtained safely. An in-person assessment may be recommended where physical observation, handling, detailed measurements or environmental inspection is required.

Does a private report guarantee rehousing or DFG approval?

No. OT Input provides independent professional evidence and recommendations. Final decisions remain with the relevant local authority, housing provider, funder or commissioning body.

Can you recommend specific equipment?

Yes, where sufficient clinical and environmental information is available. Some items may still require an in-person trial, supplier assessment or technical feasibility check before purchase or installation.
